Located in Andheri, Mumbai, Canaries Post Sound is a brainchild of Resul Pookutty and Akhilesh Acharya, and is created to do all film sound design work. It is a living example of their vision for the Indian sound industry – a vision that only a worldwide appreciated artiste can have.
World-class work
Primarily designed to handle film post work, the debutant projects from the Canaries Post Sound Stable have shot right into the Hall of Fame of both International and National Cinema. The stupendous worldwide hit Slumdog Millionaire needs no introduction and has bagged 8 straight Oscars in 2009 – one of which included an Oscar for best sound mixing for Resul. Ghajini, a power-packed Hindi film became India's biggest blockbuster in terms of revenue collection. On both these movies, Resul Pookutty was the location sound mixer.
With a CAS, BAFTA and Oscar winner in its wings and complete with high-tech equipment and facilities for A-list Hollywood films, Canaries Post Sound is already a re-sounding success – and a sure step towards creating superb live sound.
